The Analog Letter | Film Photography Mail Club

My name is Kavion Sabio. I'm a film photographer, exhibiting artist, and the creator of The Analog Letter — a film photography mail club for those who love analog photography and the process by which the photos are created. The photos I shoot and the stories behind them are ones I love to tell, but in a fast-paced digital world they get a like and a scroll instead of a chance to be physically held, read, and absorbed in a meaningful way.

Everything I send in this monthly mail club is created by me. There is no team, no warehouse. Just a man who enjoys the process of creating art and sending it to you. Each month I choose the frame, write the letter, design the bookmarks, and create the stickers myself, all of which is personally addressed to you.

My work has hung in galleries in New York, Mexico City, Spain, Switzerland, and around the globe — but my desire has always been to share my work with people so they can put it in their homes, and enjoy the intention behind it.

Volume One has already been shot, developed and scanned: twelve rolls of film, over four hundred images to choose from, and several letters' worth of stories waiting to be written and sent. Every envelope is handled with care as each month approaches.
